Ken Riemer has litigated civil disputes for over fifteen years, beginning with four years of service as Trial Attorney with the U.S. Department of Justice in Washington, D.C. While in Washington, Mr. Riemer served in the Environmental Enforcement Section of the Justice Department, filing cases against polluting companies all over the country. He received the Attorney General’s Special Achievement for his service in recovering millions of dollars in fines and clean-up costs. In 1994 Mr. Riemer returned to his home town of Mobile, Alabama, where he joined the law firm of Sirote & Permutt, P.C., one of the largest law firms in the state.

In 2001, Mr. Riemer began his own firm in Mobile and has dedicated his practice to the representation of the consumer in consumer rights litigation.

Mr. Riemer’s practice and litigation experience includes consumer fraud; credit reporting litigation; debt collector abuse; insurance bad faith; shareholder disputes; environmental litigation; fraud and contract litigation against banks, mortgage companies and finance companies; and civil rights litigation.

Mr. Riemer is a member of the National Association of Consumer Advocates; the South Alabama Trial Lawyer’s Association; the Alabama Trial Lawyer’s Association; the Alabama State Bar and the Mobile County Bar Association. He is admitted to practice before the United States Courts of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit and the Supreme Court of Alabama.
